HeatShields are interior reflectors which are intended as temporary relief against heat buildup in the cockpit or cabin interior. Our HeatShield material is a special laminate of metallized polyester film, laminated to a thin sheet of closed-cell foam. It is thinner than bubble-pack type reflectors, and has extremely good reflective and insulating qualities. Where an exterior cover is not considered practical by the operator, a HeatShield is often the best solution for cabin protection.

P3 Cockpit/Nose Cover encloses the entire nose and cockpit portion of the aircraft to a position aft of the roof hatch. This cover is made of Silver Laminate, a 2-ply laminate constructed of a sturdy reflective nylon outer shell with a soft and smooth nylon inner lining. The Canopy Cover will keep the cockpit and cabin interior about 25° F. cooler. The cover is water repellent enough to keep the aircraft dry, but is breathable enough to allow moisture to escape from beneath the cover.

Engine Intake Plugs are custom sewn "pillows" which contain single foam blocks. They feature a zipper sewn into the back so the foam can be easily removed for cleaning or replacement. The plugs have "REMOVE BEFORE FLIGHT" streamers sewn onto them.

Heavy Duty Plugs. For extremely hard use, certain plugs are available in a heavy duty style using thicker, stronger material and construction methods intended to withstand hard and constant use.

Molded ABS Plugs are available for the main engine inlets. They are made of heavy duty fire retardant ABS plastic in a mold engineered from an existing P-3 inlet fairing. The raised area in the middle of the plug serves as a handle for easier installation and removal. The large lip around the perimeter insures against accidental ingestion of the plug into the engine. For an extra charge the aircraft number or squadron identifier can be molded directly onto the plug. A long REMOVE BEFORE FLIGHT streamer is attached at the bottom edge. Other than the warning streamer no other components are used in this design, making it virtually FOD free. Inlet plug set includes a heavy duty canvas storage bag, also available with custom imprinting.
