HeatShields are interior reflectors which are intended as temporary relief against heat buildup in the cockpit or cabin interior. Our HeatShield material is a special laminate of metallized polyester film, laminated to a thin sheet of closed-cell foam. It is thinner than bubble-pack type reflectors, and has extremely good reflective and insulating qualities.

Soft Intake Covers are designed specifically for R-model, CFM-56 engines. Made of 14 oz/sq. yd. reinforced vinyl, each cover attaches to the bypass vent with six large vinyl-coated metal hooks. All straps are completely adjustable and detachable from the cover using heavy-duty plastic buckles. They are available in a variety of colors, and can be imprinted in an unlimited variety of designs including squadron insignia, aircraft number, etc. Custom imprinting is available at an extra charge, depending on size and complexity.

KC-135 "Tamborine" type intake covers are a more portable design, intended to be more easily installed by one or two persons. This is a flat vinyl fabric panel built around a folding circular frame made of foam-padded stainless steel tubing, with stainless steel and aluminum components. Each cover attaches at two points on the nacelle (3 O'Clock and 9 O'Clock positions) with special ball-lock pins.

Single-Fold and Double Fold designs are available. The Single-Fold type folds vertically to a stored dimension of about 76" x 39" x 4", and secures in the folded position with a buckle/strap detail. The Double-Fold design folds twice, down to a dimension of about 56" x 24" x 4", and comes with storage cases.

"Tamborine" covers are available in a variety of colors, and feature a screen mesh panel in the center to help prevent "sail" effect during windy conditions. For an extra charge graphic details such as squadron insignia and aircraft numbers can be imprinted or sewn onto the covers.
