The Global Express Windshield/Nose Cover is designed to enclose the entire nose and cockpit area back to just forward of the door. Where necessary there are pockets for pitot tubes and angle-of-attack vanes. This cover attaches with three or four belly straps: 2" wide nylon straps with high-impact nylon buckles.

The Windshield/Nose cover is made of nylon Silver Laminate. Bruce's Custom Covers developed Silver Laminate especially for aircraft protection. The outer material is a medium weight nylon treated for ultraviolet resistance and anti-static buildup. The inner lining is brushed nylon tricot knit. Silver Laminate is extremely reflective. Tests show that the cabin interior temperature can be reduced by as much as 25 degrees. It is water, ice and snow repellent, yet it is breathable enough to allow moisture to escape from between the cover and the windshield surface. Silver Laminate contains no hydrocarbon compounds which can harm plexiglass windshields and acrylic finishes.

TRI-FOLD RING INTAKE COVERS are designed to install easily yet be completely storable. A spring steel hoop is sewn into the hem of each cover, allowing them to be installed more easily from the wing or stepladder. To store, the cover's the spring steel hoop folds like a band-saw blade into three nesting rings. Each cover folds into a compact circular bundle which is stored in the included duffle bag, yet they unfold quickly for use. The Tri-Fold Ring cover is made of medium weight nylon which is available in a variety of colors to match the paint trim. Each cover set comes complete with installation and folding instructions. The aircraft's registration number can be silkscreened onto the cover for an extra charge.

EXHAUST PLUGS are designed to fit snugly and securely into the exhaust aperture. Made of medium and heavy duty vinyl materials, plugs are stuffed with flexible foam. Each plug folds in half to help save storage space.

ENGINE COVERS ARE AVAILABLE IN A VARIETY OF COLORS: RED, ROYAL BLUE, NAVY BLUE, MAROON, GREEN, ORANGE, SILVER, SMOKE, & BLACK.

Wing & Winglet Covers are made of either nylon or acrylic material, depending on the end use. These covers are designed to fit over the entire upper surface of the wing, overlapping at the leading and trailing edges, and slipping over the winglet with a zippered pocket. The wing cover attaches with a series of straps underneath the wing surface, and has allowances for static wick placements.

Pitot Covers are made of durable Naugahyde. Each pitot cover slips tightly around the pitot base. They are attached to one another with a red streamer, while a second red streamer goes under the windshield wiper.

HeatShields are interior reflectors which are intended as temporary relief against heat buildup in the cockpit or cabin interior. The do keep the interior about as cool as exterior covers, but they can take longer to install and do nothing to protect the plexiglas or to prevent damage caused by leaks. Also, in aircraft equipped with laminated windshields, they may cause damage to those windshields because of excessive heat buildup near the glass.

Our HeatShield material is a special laminate of metallized polyester film, laminated to a thin sheet of closed-cell foam. It is thinner than bubble-pack type reflectors, and has extremely good reflective and insulating qualities.

Where an exterior cover is not considered practical by the operator, a HeatShield is often the best solution for cabin protection.
