The Eclipse Windshield Cover attaches with two belly straps which are adjustable and detachable from both sides. The buckles are made of Delrin, a high impact plastic. The cover is trimmed to match the colors of the airplane. A duffle bag, also color trimmed, is included with the cover. For an extra charge the N-number can be imprinted onto the cover. Windshield and Canopy Covers are made of nylon Silver Laminate, a two-ply laminated fabric developed by Bruce's Custom Covers especially for aircraft protection. The outer material is a medium weight nylon treated for ultraviolet resistance and anti-static buildup. The inner lining is brushed nylon tricot knit. This material is extremely reflective. Tests show that the cabin interior temperature can be reduced by as much as 25 degrees. Silver Laminate is water, ice and snow repellent, yet it is breathable enough to allow moisture to escape from between the cover and the windshield surface. Silver Laminate contains no hydrocarbon compounds which can harm plexiglass windshields and acrylic finishes. The "Flyaway" Travel Weight Canopy & Canopy/Nose Covers are intended for use during trips away from home when space and weight are extremely limited. At less than half the weight of the the standard design, this polyester/spandex material is light weight, reflective, water repellent and stretchy. The Eclipse Jet Flyaway cover is made specifically and sized to be conveniently stored in the engine cover compartment, located in the left fuselage forward and down of the left engine nacelle. "Flyaway" covers are not intended for extended use because prolonged exposure to sunlight will age the material quickly. ALSO CAN BE USED AS A FITTED DUST COVER! Standard Engine Covers are designed to install easily yet be completely storable. A spring steel hoop is sewn into the hem of each cover, allowing them to be installed without climbing onto the wing or using a stepladder. To store the covers the spring steel hoop folds like a band-saw blade into three nesting rings. Each cover folds into a compact circular bundle which is stored in the included duffle bag, yet they unfold quickly for use. Installation details vary by model, and whether or not thrust reversers are installed. The Tri-Fold Ring cover is made of medium weight nylon which is available in a variety of colors to match the paint trim. Each cover set comes complete with installation and folding instructions. The aircraft's registration number can be silkscreened onto the cover for an extra charge. eNGINE COVERS ARE AVAILABLE IN A VARIETY OF COLORS: RED, ROYAL BLUE, NAVY BLUE, MAROON, GREEN, ORANGE, SILVER, SMOKE, & BLACK. "Bikini" style Engine Covers are a single-piece design using a stretchy and durable fabric. The cover stretches tightly over both the intake and exhaust, installing quickly and easily. Engine Plugs are sometimes a more practical cover solution for hangar-based aircraft. The 5-piece plug set (per engine) quickly and easily seals all major openings in the engine nacelle and support pylon. The Pitot Cover Set covers the pitot tube and holds the angle-of-attack vane in place by means of an adjustable webbing strap. The pitot cover is made of durable, bright red NaugahydeŞ which has been sewn and reinforced with stainless steel staples. The adjustable webbing strap, to secure the angle-of-attack vane, is sewn to the rear of the pitot cover. A seperate cover for the Rosemont Probe is also available. Non-burning Pitot Covers are designed to withstand more than 500 degrees F., preventing damage to the pitot tube if the pitot heat is turned on while it is covered. Tip-Tank Covers are intended to protect the tip tanks from "hangar rash" during inside group hangar storage situations. HeatShields are interior reflectors which are intended as temporary relief against heat buildup in the cockpit or cabin interior. The do keep the interior about as cool as exterior covers, but they can take longer to install and do nothing to protect the plexiglas or to prevent damage caused by leaks. Also, in aircraft equipped with laminated windshields, they may cause damage to those windshields because of excessive heat buildup near the glass. Our HeatShield material is a special laminate of metallized polyester film, laminated to a thin sheet of closed-cell foam. It is thinner than bubble-pack type reflectors, and has extremely good reflective and insulating qualities. Where an exterior cover is not considered practical by the operator, a HeatShield is often the best solution for cabin protection. |
