Citation X Intake & Exhaust Covers are designed to install easily yet be completely storable. A spring steel hoop is sewn into the hem of each cover, allowing them to be installed more easily from the wing or stepladder. To store, the cover's the spring steel hoop folds like a band-saw blade into three nesting rings. Each cover folds into a compact circular bundle which is stored in the included duffle bag, yet they unfold quickly for use. The Tri-Fold Ring cover is made of medium weight nylon which is available in a variety of colors to match the paint trim if desired. Each cover set comes complete with installation and folding instructions. The aircraft's registration number or company logo can be silkscreened onto the cover for an extra charge. Citation X Intake Covers install with a small positioning hook at the top of the nacelle, and with a bungee/strap detail which attaches to the drain mast on the nacelle belly. To prevent the wind from blowing the cover off, a screen mesh square in the middle of the cover allows air to pass through. Warning streamers on the covers indicate "LEFT FRONT" and "RIGHT FRONT". Citation X Exhaust Covers attach with a bungee/strap detail to the drain mast on the nacelle belly. Warning streamers on the covers indicate "LEFT REAR" and "RIGHT REAR". Pitot Covers are made of durable Naugahyde vinyl material. Each pitot cover slips tightly around the pitot base. Non-burning Pitot Covers are designed to withstand more than 500 degrees F., preventing damage to the pitot tube if the pitot heat is turned on while it is covered. HeatShields are interior reflectors which are intended as temporary relief against heat buildup in the cockpit or cabin interior. The do keep the interior about as cool as exterior covers, but they can take longer to install and do nothing to protect the plexiglas or to prevent damage caused by leaks. Also, in aircraft equipped with laminated windshields, they may cause damage to those windshields because of excessive heat buildup near the glass. Our HeatShield material is a special laminate of metallized polyester film, laminated to a thin sheet of closed-cell foam. It is thinner than bubble-pack type reflectors, and has extremely good reflective and insulating qualities. Where an exterior cover is not considered practical by the operator, a HeatShield is often the best solution for cabin protection. |
